Texans DE JJ Watt Out For Season With Tibial Plateau Leg Fracture

Texans DE JJ Watt Out For Season With Tibial Plateau Leg Fracture”

Star defensive end J.J. According to NBC sideline reporter Michelle Tafoya, Watt suffered a tibial plateau fracture of his left knee.

News of the injury shook social media, including those closest to Watt. He was helped off the field, then carted into the locker room and taken to the hospital for examination.

Watt was later seen on crutches entering an ambulance, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

We now have clarification on exactly what happened with J.J. Watt's knee. It's nearly certainly a season-ending injury, a devastating development for a 28-year-old superstar who missed nearly all of 2016 with back woes. There has been no further update on Mercilus' injury.

The Houston Texans announced superstar defensive lineman J.J. On a pass rush, Watt's left leg just gave out.

In a non-football sense, Watt's loss is nearly more devastating.

It is a great shame that one of the league's transcendent talents and one of its great ambassadors won't be able to finish out a campaign, on a playoff contender no less, for the second straight season.
