Italy chiefs campaign to bring back Chelsea boss Conte

Italy chiefs campaign to bring back Chelsea boss Conte”

Ventura could only guide Italy to the play-offs, after they finished runners-up to Spain in Group G and now face a winner-takes-all clash to qualify for Russian Federation 2018.

Pirlo has made clear in the past his intentions to enter into coaching, and recent reports claimed he could be on his way to Stamford Bridge to join Conte, with whom he worked at Juventus and the Italy national team.

Gian Piero Ventura has struggled as Italy boss and the Azzurri face a play-off match to book a place at the World Cup.

While some within the FIGC remain unhappy about the way Conte left, with his switch to Chelsea confirmed before Euro 2016 had begun, other members are keen to convince the naysayers that he's the right man to lead them forwards.

Former Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo has said he is aware of the speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea to join Antonio Conte's backroom staff but added he still has not decided his next move.

Conte steered the Blues to the Premier League title in his first season in charge - but Brazil thinks he could be off at the end of his second campaign in charge.

"I have a feeling he's come here, he's conquered".

"This year's going to be harder with United and City".

Brazil reckons Antonio Conte will go all out to win the Champions League this term before quitting at the end of the season.

"Then I think he will go, I think this will be his a year ago".
