Revive special moments with the Porsche 911 GTS British Legends

Revive special moments with the Porsche 911 GTS British Legends”

Richard Attwood, Derek Bell MBE and Nick Tandy - who were involved in six race wins for Porsche - were each asked to help recreate the design of their winning cars with specially-specified Carrera 4 GTSs as the base vehicle.

Porsche has announced some new special edition models of its Porsche 911, the British Legends Edition Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS.

Derek Bell is the most successful British Le Mans 24 hour driver ever, with no less than five wins under his belt. More so, every vehicle was designed with help from the drivers and includes personal preferences, such as the choice of manual or Porsche PDK, with each example finished by hand at Porsche's Exclusive Manufaktur workshop in Germany.

Porsche has unveiled a limited-edition series of the Carrera 4 GTS that were inspired by cars that won at Le Mans with British drivers behind the wheel.

Next is a metallic blue auto with white stripes, reflecting the Porsche 956 driven to victory by Derek Bell at the 1982 running of the famous endurance race.

In contrast 2015 Le Mans victor Nick Tandy has chosen Carrera White Metallic to reflect the white colours on his 919 Hybrid racer.

The first features a red finish with white striping, in honour of 1970 Le Mans victor Richard Attwood and his Porsche 917 race vehicle.

The Carrera 4 GTS has a 3.0-litre, flat-six engine at its heart, which produces 443bhp and gets the auto from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds with the aid of the optional seven-speed PDK automatic transmission. The common element is the 3.0-liter flat-six engine packing 450 horsepower (331 kilowatts) and 405 pound-feet (550 Newton-meters) of torque - 30 hp above the 911 Carrera S. Prices kick off from £122,376 ($160,680) for the Guards Red, £123,210 ($161,745) for the Sapphire Blue, and £123,210 ($161,745) for the Carrara White.
