Ben Affleck angry about Harvey Weinstein allegations

Ben Affleck angry about Harvey Weinstein allegations”

The film, which they both starred in, was produced by The Weinstein Company.

Throw in the history of sexual assault allegations following brother Casey Affleck, and many are questioning the sincerity of Ben's post.

It's been six days since The New York Times dropped its explosive report detailing allegations of sexual abuse against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, and Hollywood is in flames.

Already on the defensive over a claim that he knew Harvey Weinstein allegedly sexually harassed women but didn't do anything to stop it, Ben Affleck is now being accused of groping the former host MTV's "Total Request Live".

The award-winning actress wrote: "I, too, have been subjected to my own private, personal versions of sexual harassment on the job".

'This is completely unacceptable, and I find myself asking what I can do to make sure this doesn't happen to others.

'We need to do better at protecting our sisters, friends, co-workers and daughters.

Affleck wrote Tuesday that the news about the man who helped create his career "made me sick" and that we must "condemn this type of behavior when we see it". "Girls like a good tweak-age here and there, but I'd rather have a high-five".

She said: "His behaviour is without question disgraceful and appalling and very, very wrong".

Weinstein has unequivocally denied all allegations of non-consensual sex. A spokesman for the movie mogul says, "Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances". She also slammed Damon after a Sunday story written by journalist Sharon Waxman in The Wrap claimed he and Russell Crowe had called her to vouch for Fabrizio Lombardo, who ran Miramax's Italian office and who, Waxman alleged, supplied women for Weinstein. This is the great fear for all of us, ' Damon told Deadline. She continues, "I was just like, what are you doing?"

However, Affleck's condemnation of the recently-fired The Weinstein Company founder failed to resonate with one particular actress, Rose McGowan - who has worked with the Batman actor in 1998 thriller Phantoms.
