Truck Bursts Into Flames After Crash in Singleton”

Police have launched a critical incident investigation following this morning's truck crash.

The man was charged with steal motor vehicle, police pursuit - not stop (Skye's Law x 2), use offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention (x 2), assault officer in execution of duty (x2), resist officer, and malicious damage (x2).

One man was trapped in his auto when it was hit by the truck this morning (October 11) in Singleton, and is now in a life-threatening condition.

A stolen truck crashed into a building and multiple cars leaving a number of people injured in the Hunter region.

Cars were strewn across George Street after the semi-trailer left a trail of destruction on Wednesday morning.

A truck burst into flames after crashing into a building and four cars on the New England Highway at Singleton, New South Wales, on the morning of Wednesday, October 11.

The driver was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital with minor injuries and underwent mandatory tests.

The truck was reportedly stolen from a BP service station at Murrurundi in the NSW Hunter Valley while the owner was paying for fuel.

Paramedics are treating four patients.

A 67-year-old man has been taken to hospital with critical injuries, according to 9 News. NSW Ambulance says two have "significant" injuries.

Diversions are in place via Lemington Road and the Golden Highway.
