Google to integrate Duo App to Android by default

Google to integrate Duo App to Android by default”

Google says it will add a function later that allows you to upgrade an ongoing voice call to video with a single tap.

According to Google, they have already started rolling out the Google Duo Integration to Pixel devices and certain Android One smartphones. Calls can be made to contacts through your Android Phone, Contacts and Android Messages apps. In Contacts, you will notice a Duo video call icon has also appeared, while in Android Messages app, you can start a call straight from your chat.

If both the caller and the recipient are on a carrier that supports ViLTE video calling, the calls will be routed through the carrier's ViLTE service. If you're not on a carrier with that service, Google will link the call through its Duo app, as long as both parties have it installed.

The Pixel 2 and 2 XL were announced last week, but with most variants not shipping for a few weeks, those of you pre-ordered one are probably getting a little antsy.

How about other Android phones from major OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) like Samsung, LG, Sony, Xiaomi and others?
