Juan Mata Snubs China Bid Amid Contract Rumours

Juan Mata Snubs China Bid Amid Contract Rumours”

Mata, 29, remains a key player for manager Jose Mourinho due to his huge experience and enduring creative qualities.

The Spanish worldwide has helped the Red Devils make an unbeaten start in 2017-18, scoring once in seven league appearances.

Mata is now in his fourth full season at Old Trafford, and has blossomed as United have started the season in fine fettle.

United are also expected to hand Mata's compatriot Ander Herrera a new contract, with Mourinho singing his praises many times this season.

The Mirror claims Manchester United's Spanish playmaker has turned down the chance to greatly improve his £165,000-a-week wages.

It is said Mourinho's men will trigger a clause in his contract that allows his current deal to be extended.

Daily Mirror: Jack Wilshere is considering leaving Arsenal in January in a bid to boost his World Cup chances.

The Spaniard has reportedly been approached by officials from certain clubs in the Far East about a move.

Mata will be out of contract come the end of the season and the 29-year-old has emerged as a target for a number of Chinese Super League clubs.

But the Daily Mirror say Mata is not interested in a move and has chose to stay at United and agree terms over a one-year extension on his current deal.

"There's no need to say what it means for us and for our fans, and I hope that we can play a great game and take the three points to Manchester".
