Just a after a few hours of the ceasefire violation in KG Sector, Pakistani military targeted Indian Army positions at Khari and Karmara area of LoC near Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to ANI, Singh said, "The Pakistan Army had retaliated first which followed a blast soon after that".

Pakistan on Friday violated the ceasefire in Kashmir's Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch district for the second day in a row.

Meanwhile, sources said schools in Digwar and Karmara areas have been closed for today in view of the intense shelling from across the border. It has been learnt that Pakistan army had started unprovoked firing, the report says. A senior police officer said that three BSF personnel have been injured in the attack and 2 terrorist has been gunned down.

This is the third provocation in the last 24 hours from the Pakistan side. Till August 1, there were 285 such violations by the Pakistan Army, while in 2016, the number was significantly less at 228 for the entire year, according to the Army figures.

On Thursday, an Army jawan and a porter were killed, and six others injured when Pakistani troops fired small arms on forward areas along the LoC in the sector.

Sepoy TK Reddy and defence porter Mohammed Zahier were grievously injured during the exchange of fire and succumbed to their injuries later, a defence spokesperson said.

Reddy, 21, belonged to Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh and is survived by his mother Gurrumma. The nation will always remain indebted to them for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty, he added. It will be taken to Hyderabad in a civil flight around 5pm on Friday.
