Trump Claims Victory in War on Christmas: 'We're Saying Merry Christmas Again'”

FRC Action's 12 Annual Values Voter Summit is co-sponsored by AFA Action, American Values, Christian Healthcare Ministries, Association of Mature American Citizens, The D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship, The Heritage Foundation, United in Purpose, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, and Family Research Council.

President Donald Trump will speak at this year's Values Voter Summit.

However, SPLC president has sharply criticised the president for endorsing a hate group's event by participating as an official speaker at it. Trump scraped that plan with a new rule that would exempt employers whose religious or moral beliefs conflict with providing contraceptive coverage.

This will be the first time a sitting president has appeared at the conservative meeting.

The Justice Department simultaneously announced "20 high-level principles" on religious liberty to "guide all agencies in complying with Federal law".

"Tor too long politicians have tried to centralize authority among the hands of a small few in our nation's capital", he said.

He says people are saying "Merry Christmas" again. "Bureaucrats think they can run your lives, overrule your values, meddle in your faith and tell you how to live, what to say and how to pray".

"We are stopping cold the attacks on Judeo-Christian values", Trump said to applause, before slamming people who don't say "Merry Christmas".

"You go to department stores and they'll say Happy New Year, or they'll say other things and it'll be red, they'll have it painted".

He added that people were saying "Merry Christmas" again and hoped Congress will pass his tax cut proposal as a festive gift to the American people.

Actor Kevin Sorbo, retired Lt. Col. Oliver North, radio host Bill Bennett, author Laura Ingraham, and former Rep. Michelle Bachmann are also scheduled to speak.
