American Airlines Pilot Ejects Passenger

American Airlines Pilot Ejects Passenger”

A Women's March co-founder was kicked off of an American Airlines flight after an argument about seats with a gate attendant.

NY activist Tamika Mallory claims she was discriminated against after a pilot booted her from an American Airlines flight in Miami following a dustup over her seat assignment.

Mallory said she told the pilot "yes, no problems, I'm good, everything's fine" and boarded the plane because she wanted to get home.

Mallory admitted in the video that at this point she lost her temper and began swearing, though she maintained she had not yelled at the pilot or the gate agent previously.

While checking in for her flight from Miami to New York, Mallory said she used a kiosk to switch from a middle seat to an aisle seat.

Mallory said she took her middle seat and remained silent but soon heard her name being called over the loudspeaker. When she got to the front of the plane, she was informed that she was being kicked off the flight.

Upon boarding the plane; however, the pilot - who only caught the tail end of the dispute - got involved and insisted that the airline worker wasn't responsible for the seat change and suggested that Mallory was the one being rude.

This isn't the first time the airline has been accused of blatant racism. He had no business getting involved in a seat dispute, ' she wrote.

Mallory was on her way to NY for her mentor Rev. Al Sharpton's daughter's wedding, which she missed. The pilot then asked Mallory if she was going to "behave" on the flight or if she was "going to be a problem".

Nothing", Mallory said. "There was no reason at that point for me to be kind and continue to bow to master. I told him I felt completely disrespected.

"You're going to get yourself a one-way ticket off of this plane", she said he responded. "It was so egregious, if you will, and there was no way that I could allow it to happen without me saying something".

A male companion she was traveling with was also removed from the plane.

"Doesn't matter how much we do and how hard we fight, white men are allowed to treat black women like s**t". She said the pilot gestured at her and said, "Her, off", before two officers arrived to remove her.

'Other ppl (sic) stand by and watch it happen because it doesn't affect them.

'We take these allegations seriously, and we are in the process of reaching out to our colleagues in Miami, as well as Ms Mallory, to obtain additional information on what transpired during the boarding process, ' Freed told the Daily News. "If I have to fight alone, .@AmericanAir will NEVER GET AWAY W/ THIS".

When asked whether the removal was justified, an American Airlines spokesman told The Washington Post the airline was continuing "to review the situation with our team members".
