Equine trainer checks into Kentucky motel with her horse

Equine trainer checks into Kentucky motel with her horse”

She recently got her chance at a Georgetown motel.

That's when she spotted a dog in the lobby of the Supreme 8 in Georgetown, Kentucky.

Although it only cost an extra $10 United States dollars to bring along her four-legged friend, Partridge eventually chose to take her horse back to its trailer after they watched some TV together. "I'm just really trying to show people that if you take the time to develop this calm connection with them, they're fantastic".

Lindsey Partridge, who in 2015 created Harmony Horsemanship, an organization that helps riders better understand their horses, told ABC News she was driving down from Pontypool, Ontario, to Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, when she chose to check into her hotel.

When her turn came, Partridge jokingly asked the clerk if the pet policy applied to her horse. "I hope that this shows people that horses really can be quiet, calm and nice".

Like, for instance, take them into a motel room.

Partridge made a video of Blizz, a retired Thoroughbred mare who raced as Here Comes Adri. She said she remarked to the receptionist that she didn't realize the hotel had a pet policy and joked she had a few horses outside.

Partridge took the Super 8 up on its offer, walking Blizz into the motel.

"Most of the time when horses go to the bathroom during a performance or something like that, it's usually because they're nervous, " she said. "We were ready, though, with a garbage bag and a pitchfork on standby just in case". Blizz took third in the competition's trail division, with Partridge's other two horses coming in first and second.

Partridge also wanted to make sure the unidentified receptionist didn't get into any trouble by emphasizing that the horse was only briefly in the room.

The owners of Supreme 8 confirmed the incident to ABC News. "You could do that, '" Partridge told the Lexington Herald-Leader.
