Destiny 2's First Prestige Raid Now Live

Destiny 2's First Prestige Raid Now Live”

"Guardians eagerly anticipated the release of the #Prestige difficulty for the #Leviathan raid in "#Destiny 2", which was supposed to have launched last week.

This exploit could not be patched out in time, but Bungie devised a method to recognise when it was used in order to verify a fair victory.

The raid started at 6pm on Wednesday and it wasn't long before Clan Redeem were announced as the world first to complete it, but only by four minutes.

While some players have defended Clan Redeem, insisting that all that happened was a player took advantage of a bug Bungie failed to program out of its game, many others are incensed that Bungie would recognize exploiters as the world's first to accomplish an in-game feat. However, it was discovered that the group used an ammo exploit during the final boss fight.

Although there was already a bit of controversy surrounding the launch of Destiny 2's Prestige Leviathan Raid, now that we have a World's First completion fireteam even more has surfaced. Fans have known about the glitch for a month - it has been in the game since Destiny 2 launched. Even more so considering that Bungie made a decision to delay the Leviathan Prestige Raid to try and remove a known exploit from the encounter. It appears they might have overlooked the ammunition exploit. Clan members even called out their use of the exploit, as you can hear (and see) at about 11 seconds into the video below.

Therefore, their clan's completion might be subject to review and can be denied by Bungie.

However, there is at least one black spot on the clan's title: during the raid, one of Clan Redeem's players, a player named Swatcicle, said that he was coil glitching, which is an exploit that allows you to refill your power weapons instantaneously, meaning that you can repeatedly pump missiles or grenades into an enemy. Therefore, swapping out a single shot of the Coil will give other power weapons more than one.

Announced earlier this month, the more hard version of Destiny 2's first Raid introduces tougher enemies, as well as "minimal" mechanical changes to encounters.
