Kellogg's Tony the Tiger, Toucan Sam in LGBTQ Spirit Day video

Spirit Day is the largest, most visible anti-bullying campaign in the world.

Thursday is GLAAD's Spirit Day, and Hollywood is coming out in full force to express support for the LGBTQ community.

"On Spirit Day, we speak out against bullying of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and intersex persons and stand with LGBTI youth who disproportionally face bullying and harassment due to their identities", she said.

GLAAD's Spirit Day takes place each year on the third Thursday of October.

Many of Kellogg's social media channels will also support Spirit Day, turning their handles purple for the day to stand up to bullying.

Spirit Day is Thursday 19th October in the United States, and sees millions wear purple to stand against bullying in support of LGBTQ youth, with celebrities taking to social media to show their support, and performers and celebs taking part in the Believer Spirit Day Concert. But you can show support every day by raising awareness about the problem of LGBTQ bullying and helping others to become allies as well. This includes our beloved brands - Kellogg's®, Keebler®, Special K®, Pringles®, Kellogg's Frosted Flakes®, Pop-Tarts®, Kellogg's Corn Flakes®, Rice Krispies®, Cheez-It®, Eggo®, Mini-Wheats® and more - that nourish families so they can flourish and thrive.

According to Billboard a slew celebrities are taking the purple pledge year including Britney Spears, Halsey, Christina Aguilera, Luis Fonsi, Celine Dion, Fergie, Olivia Newton-John, Monica, Wrabel, Callum Scott, Skylar Stecker and Zeke Thomas.
