Behind Lock's six touchdowns, Missouri cruises to Homecoming rout over Idaho

Behind Lock's six touchdowns, Missouri cruises to Homecoming rout over Idahoā€¯

The Tigers breat Idaho 68-21 on homecoming.

Drew Lock threw for 467 yards and six TDs as the host Tigers (2-5) blasted the Vandals (2-5).

Lock finished the half with 371 passing yards and completed 17 of 23 passes after opening with the interception. Moore led the Tigers with nine catches for 137 yards and snagged a 15-yard interception in the first quarter.

Missouri tight end Albert Okwuegbunam, left, heads to the end zone past Idaho linebacker Kaden Elliss after catching a pass for a touchdown during the first half of an NCAA college football game Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, in Columbia, Mo. And the Tigers' offensive numbers were nearly as gaudy as they were in their other win, which came against Missouri State.

Albert Okwuegbunam caught three touchdown passes, which are the most by a Mizzou tight end since Chase Coffman in 2007 against Colorado.

Lock, who didn't play the fourth quarter, was 10 of 13 for 216 yards and four touchdowns in the first period as Missouri outgained Idaho 279-46.

Hall, who entered leading the nation in average yards per catch at 28.8, caught three passes for 80 yards and a touchdown, running back Ish Witter scored twice and Floyd added a receiving score.

Of Missouri's 10 scoring drives through three quarters, only two required more than two minutes. Mizzou plays at CT next week. Big plays helped the Tigers (2-5) answer the score and a punt return touchdown put Missouri on top for good.

The Missouri pass rush, which blitzed often, even recorded five sacks, just two less than the its total in the Tigers' five losses. At least briefly, a Missouri secondary that has struggled all season did so against the Vandals.

The Tiger offense got back on track during its next drive as Lock launched a 45-yard pass down the sideline complete to Emanuel Hall.

That 8 minute, 43 second drive was an aberration for the Vandals, though.

David Ungerer recorded the first multi-touchdown game of his career.

Idaho is now 0-9 all-time against SEC schools. Missouri had four such plays Saturday at a Memorial Stadium that featured perhaps as many empty seats as it did fans. Mizzou coach Barry Odom was expected to address McCann's situation after the game, though an MU spokesman confirmed the sophomore from O'Fallon, Ill., is still on the team.
