O'Reilly dropped by talent agency after report of sexual harassment settlement

The sexual harassment charges that ended the Fox career of Mr. O'Reilly in April were spotlighted on NBC's "Megyn Kelly Today" to start the week, but the conservative commentator didn't evade a fight.

Yet O'Reilly managed to draw a forceful rebuke from Bolling on Monday, after invoking Bolling's dead son to accuse the media of recklessness.

The latest fallout follows the story in the New York Times over the weekend, which detailed a $32 million settlement paid by O'Reilly to a former Fox News analyst who had made a claim against him. And you know, I'm a big mouth.

Bill O'Reilly is no longer a client of the talent agency UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

"I have been in the broadcast business for 43 years with 12 different companies, and not one time was there any complaint filed against me", Mr. O'Reilly told radio host Glenn Beck on Monday.

Bolling is not, however, willing to suggest that reporting on his alleged conduct led to his son's death. "The coroner has, in fact, indicated to us that they believe it was an accident".

Mr. Bolling said in a statement Monday that it was "beyond inappropriate" for Mr. O'Reilly to bring up his son's death.

Mr. O'Reilly later apologized for his comments on Twitter.

"I'm a hired gun", he said. "I was truly touched - I know how busy you are, especially that time of day". I wish I had more protection. I can't explain it to you.

It's nice to know that the past six months haven't diminished O'Reilly's sense of self worth.

At that time Fox News parent 21st Century Fox had taken a public stand against harassment and settled Gretchen Carlson's claims against Ailes for $20 million, which included a rare public apology from the company.
