BLU launches its first true selfie-centric smartphone, the VIVO 8L

BLU launches its first true selfie-centric smartphone, the VIVO 8L”

But the Blu Vivo 8L is completely a new member in the US-based company's popular Vivo series.

The phone is now listed on Amazon with a $199.99 price tag but it's currently being offered with a $50 discount. A fingerprint scanner can be founded on the backside of the Vivo 8L. It is an unlocked GSM phone that will work on networks like AT&T, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Cricket and StraightTalk.

The Vivo 8L is a lower and selfie-focused variant of the Vivo 8 smartphone that was launched by the company in August this year. For additional features, the device offers split screen function and has a fingerprint sensor at the back. Blu S1 sports a 13MP primary camera on the rear and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. The Vivo 8L has a 5.3-inch display that carries support for HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels.

The MediaTek MT6753 chipset powers the Vivo 8L along with 3 GB of RAM. In terms of memory, the Blu Vivo 8L is backed up by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. The front-facing camera has a higher resolution than the rear camera, oddly enough. On the front, the smartphone features a 20-megapixel "Super Selfie" camera with 1/2.8-inch sensor, an f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens. Talking about its multimedia department, the Blu Vivo 8L comes with powerful speakers with MAXXAudio technology support that delivers an impressive theatre-like sound experience to the users. The smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System as connectivity options. Vivo 8L sports a unibody metal design and shares a close resemblance to a number of Chinese smartphones from brands such as Gionee, Huawei and Xiaomi.
