Life for woman who stabbed sister to death after affair with brother-in-law

Life for woman who stabbed sister to death after affair with brother-in-law”

Sabah Khan appeared at the Old Bailey on Tuesday to plead guilty to a single charge of the murder of her sister.

A house where a woman savagely hacked her older sister to death has gone on the market for £360,000.

Sabah Khan, 26, was sentenced to a life term with a minimum of 22 years at the Old Bailey today (26 October) after admitting on 24 October to murdering her older sister Saima.

On the night of the horrific murder Saima's four young children were sleeping upstairs as she was murdered by her younger sister, who had bought a knife from a Tesco store two days earlier.

Sabah was babysitting her sister's four children when she lured Saima into returning home from work by messaging her saying one of her kids was crying.

Sabah then stuffed her bloodied clothes, gloves and murder weapon into a rubbish bag, which was later found in the bedroom of the family home.

Judge Christopher Moss described her actions as "astonishingly brutal".

Care worker Saima Khan was found with 68 different injuries in Overstone Road on 23 May a year ago.

Sabah Khan then called her father and the emergency services, claiming she was in the shower when a burglar broke in and attacked her sister.

Whatsapp messages between the pair indicate Sabah was bitter about Rehman's affections being "transferred" back to his wife, the prosecutor said.

Sabah launched the frenzied and savage attack in the hallway close to the front door.

Khan's internet history revealed she had searched for "poisonous snakes", "how to hire a killer" and "16 steps to kill someone and not get caught".

She wanted her children and her husband. Khan also paid a "black magic priest" in Pakistan £5,000 to do the deed by "remote control".

Mr Rehman, a cab driver, was not in court but released a statement in which he said: "I feel complete shame about having an affair with Sabah". I never imagined anything like this would ever happen.

Hafeez Rehman says "not a day goes by" where he doesn't regret being involved with his sister in law. Saima was there for all four children.

Police have called the killing in Overstone Road "any family's worst nightmare".
