Entertainment mogul Simon Cowell was briefly hospitalized Friday after a fall at his London home.

Now he's spoken out about the scare, telling The Sun: 'Sometimes we get a reminder that we're not invincible and this was certainly mine. "It was a huge shock", Simon said.

Simon was replaced by Alesha Dixon on Sunday's (10.29.17) episode of the popular talent contest, and Louis believes the brunette beauty was the "perfect stand in", as she has worked with Simon on the show earlier this year during the audition process, as well as on "Britain's Got Talent".

He said: 'I think maybe the American thing may have hurt me in the end but it's so cool to be the only American to ever make live shows so it's all good, I'm happy, I'm going to keep doing music obviously, I won't do anything else.

The Sun's Dan Wootton discussed the accident on today's Lorraine, explaining: 'I was speaking to [his partner] Lauren [Silverman] actually. Simon in now resting up with her and [son] Eric.

Louis then jokingly revealed: "He fell off his high heels". Luckily, he had a full security team.

Despite reports that Simon was gearing up to defy medical advice and return to the X Factor studio last night, the father-of-one seemingly opted to put his health first as he drafted in Alesha with just five hours notice.

He continued: 'I felt really good about my performance - I think that's why I'm not too sad because I left everything out there and gave it all emotionally and performed to the best of my ability.

He said: "Cheryl came up to me and said, 'I love your voice, you did an unbelievable job", so it was really cool'.

Let's hope so. Sending you lots of love for a speedy recovery, Simon.
