Google's CEO Just Promised to 'Drop Everything' to Fix its Cheeseburger Emoji

Google's CEO Just Promised to 'Drop Everything' to Fix its Cheeseburger Emoji”

Responding to criticism about the placement of cheese on Google's version of the cheeseburger emoji, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that he would take a look at the issue immediately.

A subsequent research of the cheeseburger emoji from other tech firms like Samsung or Microsoft puts Google's version in sharp contrast - that of the burger placed on top of the cheese while for every other firm, it is the reverse that is true.

A few of those replying to Pichai's tweet did have suggestions, too. "I think we need to have a discussion about how Google's burger emoji is placing the cheese underneath the burger, while Apple puts it on top", he tweeted.

It all started when Thomas Baekdal, the founder of Baekdal Media, pointed out the difference between the cheeseburger emojis used by Apple and Google through Twitter.

Cheese in a burger could be a minor issue while buying it but how could it engage the CEO of the biggest internet company in the world?

The discussion gathered a lot of attention on Twitter and many other social media platforms, with Pichai receiving around 10,000 retweets by twitter users. So Apple and Samsung are also being pulled up for their allegedly faulty placement of lettuce in their respective emoji.

The debatable topic also dragged celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay who also shared a "perfect burger tutorial", that ordered the cheeseburger at bun, tomato, patty, cheese, lettuce, and then bun.
