Samsung Galaxy S8 Oreo beta test markets confirmed

Samsung Galaxy S8 Oreo beta test markets confirmed”

But months after this only Sony did what they said, that too only with the Xperia XZ premium. But, recently a report stated that the Sprint Galaxy S8 users who have enrolled their devices for Galaxy Beta program will receive the updates starting today.

For this reason, Samsung is now in the process of setting up a beta testing program, whereby Samsung phone users can test-drive incoming updates.

Samsung's Android open beta program for Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available in South Korea, the United States of America and the United Kingdom in the first phase. The second phase will include countries like Germany, Spain, France, Poland, India and China. The US, however, is not included in the program until Tuesday, October 31. It is meant to test the stability of the software through user feedback. Once the company realises the software is bug-free it will roll-out to the masses.

A benchmark test run on Geekbench seems to indicate that LG is testing the new Android 8.0 (Oreo) build of the operating system on the LG G6.

Are you excited for the Oreo update on your Galaxy S8?

In August following the launch of Android Oreo, Google started seeding the update to Nexus and Pixel devices.

It also brings new features such as picture-in-picture, which allows users to do two tasks simultaneously, like checking the calendar while planning a party on a Duo video call.
