Three people found dead in home in Chetek”

Brenda Turner also had blunt force injuries to her face, neck and torso, along with a left side rib fracture. They were identified as 55-year-old John Hengst, 55-year-old Brenda Turner and 17-year-old Natalie Turner. She was found dead in her upstairs bedroom.

The 911 call came in just before 9:00 p.m. Friday night.

Investigators say while they're still piecing the incident together, it appears some sort of fight occurred in the upstairs bedroom and then continued downstairs were Brenda was found dead of a gunshot wound.

Hengst shot himself and was found downstairs in the home in the 600 block of 26th Street in Chetek, roughly 50 miles east of the state's border with Minnesota, the sheriff added.

Turner and Hengst divorced in August 2016, according to court records.

One man told WCCO the entire community is in shock. Hengst was Natalie's ex-stepfather.

Students, teachers and even many law enforcement officers gathered at Chetek High School on Sunday to honor Natalie's life. "It's going to be a long road to being ok".

Authorities say the initial investigation shows that all three people suffered gunshot wounds, but the cause of death can not be confirmed until an autopsy is done by the Barron County Medical Examiner's Office.

Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said he listened to the recording of the woman's call. "I'm not usually at a loss for words. but I am".
