USA parents find meth in Halloween trick-or-treat candy

Meth has been found in a child's Halloween candy on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena, Wisconsin according to tribal police. The child was trick-or-treating during the village's designated hours.

Menominee Tribal Police have asked parents to pay extra attention for any suspicious objects in their child's candy.

Police encouraged parents to throw away their children's candy, to be safe, even if they sift through it and no meth turns up.

The incident occurred on Sunday during a Halloween event in the downtown area of the reservation and it is unclear if the meth was dropping in the bag intentionally or by accident.

At this time, detectives believe it is an isolated incident, according to Fox11.

"Had that parent not looked through they could have tasted it and it could have turned deadly", said Lana Washinawatok. "We haven't received any other reports".

"We would like to make some strong moves in our community to let them know this isn't acceptable", said Washinawatok.
