Max Evans is Dancing On Ice's fifth celebrity skater

The 21-year-old will star in Dancing On Ice 2018 when the show makes its return to ITV in the new year.

"I'm going to have to start thinking of witty one-liners".

Meanwhile, the list of confirmed celebs keeps growing as X Factor contestant Jake Quickenden, Bake Off victor Candice Brown and rugby star Max Evans have all been confirmed today.

"My friends call me Bambi on ice and that's just normal day-to-day!"

"I had my first training session yesterday - I was freezing!"

On Monday, ITV began revealing the celebrities taking part in the skating contest's revival, and today three more names have joined the line-up.

Max revealed: "I haven't done any skating since I was a kid, and this is completely different having to skate on live television".

Candice Brown has joined the line-up for next year's "Dancing on Ice". "We've all had a dance, which is familiar territory, but skating is so not..."

Hunky sportsman Max, who is the brother of model Thom Evans, follows in a long line of rugby aces who have proved themselves competent ice dancers on the show, including Kyran Bracken, 42, who won in 2007, and Gareth Thomas, 43, who narrowly missed out on a place in the final in 2013.

As well as finding fame on The X Factor - appearing in both 2012 and 2014 - Jake has wowed fans in the I'm A Celebrity jungle, where he came runner-up in 2014. "I can't wait to get my skates on".

So far the judges have been confirmed as Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and Jason Gardiner, but we know there's still at least one to be announced.

Previous hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will return to front the series, due to air in early 2018. I'm so buzzing, I can't even explain. "Ice is cold! But it was wonderful, the coaches are unbelievable", he enthused on ITV chat show Lorraine. "I feel so lucky that I've been asked to do it".
