Rapper Fetty Wap Arrested For Drag Racing In Brooklyn While Intoxicated”

Paterson native Fetty Wap was arrested in NY early Friday on charges of driving drunk and with a suspended New Jersey license after what authorities are describing as a drag race through Brooklyn.

Details have surfaced on what ultimately put Fetty in police custody.

The NYPD reported that Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, was seen at about 1:20 a.m. Friday morning in the area of Hamilton Parkway.

Investigators determined that Wap was racing another vehicle. He reportedly gave the officers an expired New Jersey driver's license when they pulled him over, and when they conducted a sobriety test on him, he failed. He is also charged with driving on a suspended license. When the officer suspected Wap might be intoxicated, he administered a field sobriety test, which returned a.09 reading.

He was arrested for reckless endangerment, illegal speed contest, drunken driving, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, illegal lane changing and a host of other offenses. Fetty was taken to jail.

Last night, Fetty went to Instagram with a shot of himself at a gas station.
