Forecasters were predicting more rain and possible thunder by Monday afternoon, which should be the last precipitation until early next week, when temperatures are again expected to float up to 10 degrees above freezing again on average. There's a 30 percent chance of rain during the day.

Meteorologists at the Mount Holly weather station say showers will spread across our area from west to east as the front moves through today.

Temperatures Wednesday may reach into the low 50s or high 40s. It will be partly cloudy overnight Thursday with a low around 24.

It will also be a sunny and relatively warm Veteran's Day with a high near 55 and mostly sunny skies.

Friday and Saturday will see the coldest temperatures, forecasters believe.

Low temperatures at night will fall throughout the week, from near 60 degrees Sunday night to around 35 degrees by Wednesday night.

According to the South African Weather Service, temperatures will remain in the low thirties for the beginning of the week, with temperatures cooling to the mid to low twenties of the latter part of the week.
