Country superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are returning as hosts for the tenth year in a row.

Paisley added: "The way we see it, the best way to honor our fans is to play our music-loud and proud". "Our music lifts people up".

In viewers and young adults, ABC built to Wednesday season highs with its largest overall audience on the night in three years and its top Adult 18-49 rating with entertainment programming in two years - since 11/5/14 and 11/4/15, respectively.

The theme of unity continued as Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman quoted Maya Angelou. The country community really is like a family, after all. "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel", she said.
