Man stabbed during fight in Colorado Springs”

Police are investigating a early morning stabbing Friday in western Colorado Springs. The victim called his friends to say he had been shot, then soon after, showed up at the hospital. They told Colorado Springs police the man was stabbed when he got into a fight that started in the auto and spilled out onto the street.

Investigators say alcohol was involved in the incident.

Two males started fighting inside the auto, but they climbed out of the vehicle and continued fighting the report says. The fight spilled into the street, and the man stabbed the victim in the lower right leg. Police said one victim came to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest and is considered in serious condition, but with non left threatening injuries.

"There is no danger to the public at this time", the report says.

The report does not mention whether police arrested the suspect.
