Former Faith No More Vocalist Chuck Mosley Dies At 57”

'After a long period of sobriety, Charles Henry Mosley III lost his life, on 9 November 2017, due to the disease of addiction, ' the statement said.

During his stint in the band, Mosley's behaviour was often volatile and unpredictable.

Mosley is survived by is survived by Pip Logan, his long-term partner, two daughters, and a grandson.

Chuck Mosley, a musician best known for fronting an earlier lineup of Faith No More, has died at the age of 57.

Faith No More were formed in San Francisco in 1979, with Mosley joining the band as frontman in 1983. The family will be accepting donations for funeral expenses.

The band's acclaimed second album, Introduce Yourself, spawned two of their key singles, "Anne's Song" and the hit "We Care a Lot", bringing the band to national attention.

The singer left the band after that album.

Faith No More had a habit of allowing audience members jump in to sing and Mosley "was among the most frequent volunteers", according to Rolling Stone.

Despite being involved in numerous legal battles with his old band, Mosley reunited live with Faith No More on several occasions over the years, most recently in August 2016 (watch footage from that show below).

More recently he toured the United States in 2016 with a set of acoustic material. After he broke his back, he moved to Cleveland in 1996 ot raise a family. In 2009, he released his own solo record Will Rap Over Hard Rock For Food. "It was just so far off the mark - I think I actually attacked him again", Gould told TeamRock.com in 2014. "It depends how pissed-off you are about what's happened and how much you mean it!"
