OR cross country women third, men fourth at NCAA West Regional meet”

The senior all-American who was 14th at the NCAA championship meet last season, ran for the first time this fall and finished 43rd in 20:41.5.

Lucki's seventh place finish is the best finish ever on record for a Maryland runner at the event, as her time of 20:16.3 shaved almost 30 seconds off her finish on the course at the Paul Short Invitational in September. Freshman Jenna Rogers was 157th (22 minutes, 24 seconds) while junior Amanda Kiefer and freshman Ally Legard rounded out the scoring for GU, finishing 162nd (22 minutes, 29 seconds) and 171st (22 minutes 34 seconds) respectively. The Golden Eagles would finish one spot ahead of that and in front of meet host Indiana State.

"I didn't really notice the cold or wind as much when I was racing", Allen said.

The Ducks finished with 92 points, behind victor San Francisco with 59 points and runner-up Stanford with 76 points. Connor McMillan followed in fourth place (30:17.3) with Kramer Morton in 20th (30:51.8), Brayden McLelland in 26th (30:56.1) and Clayton Young in 27th (31:03.3) rounding out the group.

Big Ten schools Michigan and Michigan State were the top two teams in Friday's race, which qualified them for nationals, while Receveur's first-place finish qualified her as an individual. Redshirt senior Marc Dubrick finished 38th with a time of 30:00.16 and senior Evan Schulte finished 56th with a 30:16.26 clip. Sophomore Katie Rainsberger was fifth (19:30.9) and sophomore Lilli Burdon ninth (19:43.3).

The lone senior on the squad, Kennedy earned all-region honors for the second straight year.

Kaderabek wraps up his GU career ranking sixth in program history over 8,000 meters and seventh over 10,000 meters. There was a split of just 31 seconds separating the Wildcats five scoring runners, and the team scored 60 points to finish behind Penn State (31) and ahead of the rest of the field of 28 teams.

OR finished with 149 points, behind Portland (63), Washington (65) and Stanford (85).
