Michael Buble in first gig since son's cancer diagnosis

After putting his music career on hold for 11 months, Michael Buble will make his comeback to the music scene by headlining Barclaycard's British Summer Time festival in London.

The Everything singer is to top the bill at British Summer Time in Hyde Park in July 2018, for his only gig in the United Kingdom of the year.

It is his first scheduled date since he and his wife Luisana Lopilato, the actress, announced in November previous year that Noah, their eldest son, then three, had cancer.

Following treatment in America, Noah returned home with his parents to Argentina, where he was said to be progressing well.

By April, Lopilato was able to confirm that her son was cancer free.

"My son's recovery is a long process as you all know and he has to continue with check-ups", she said.

Buble said in a statement: 'I can't wait to come over to see my fans in London and play BST Hyde Park for my largest ever United Kingdom show!

'And for those of you that haven't seen me live, well...

The couple, who married in 2011, also have another son, one-year-old Elias.

The entertainer is the third headline act to be announced for the BST festival series after Pink Floyd star Roger Waters and Bruno Mars.
