Xiaomi's best-selling smartphone, Redmi Note 4, gets a price cut in India

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is one of the bestselling smartphones in the Indian market. The smartphone was launched in two variants in India based on RAM and inbuilt storage. Prior to this price cut, these variants of the device were priced at Rs. 9,999, Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 12,999 respectively. This means both the 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage versions of the Redmi Note 4 are now available for buying at the same cost, which is Rs 9,999.

Redmi Note 4 supports 4G Dual SIM.

The Redmi Note 4 is easily among the best-selling phones that Xiaomi has ever come out with, and the phone still manages to hold its ground in the Rs 10,000 and around price segment even though it was launched in January.

As far as specifications Redmi Note 4 are concerned, it comes with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) 2.5D curved glass display and a 2.0 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU.

As for the cameras, the Redmi Note 4 features a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash, while there is a 5MP camera on the front. The phone is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery. Xiaomi recently launched its Redmi Y1 and the Redmi Y1 Lite smartphones in India. The Android Oreo update has not yet started rolling out.

Flipkart is also offering 5% discount on payments with Axis bank Buzz credit cards. The e-commerce portal is offering the best exchange value of Rs 6,500 when you upgrade to a new phone in 2018, provided it is in a working condition and not damaged. Follow up to the much successful Redmi Note 3; the Redmi Note 4 exists primarily to correct the camera shortcomings of its predecessor, according to the company. If you've waiting to upgrade to a new mid-range phone for some time, this is a good opportunity. It is best to get the 4GB RAM version as it comes with 64GB storage on board.
