18-month-old raped by neighbour who came to play with her

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chinmoy Biswal said the incident took place on Monday.

Earlier on November 2, a one and a half years old girl was allegedly raped by a 33-year-old man in Delhi's Aman Vihar area. The accused is a friend and a colleague of the girl's father and works in a private security company. The 21-year-old accused, who has been arrested, sexually molested the infant while babysitting her.

"He came back after night duty while the girl's father left home for his morning duty", a police officer told the Hindustan Times. As per the reports, the girl had gone to play with the two children when their father sexually assaulted them The accused was later arrested.

When the mother of the baby found her crying after the neighbour had come, she took her to a nearby hospital, where she discovered that her child had been sexually assaulted. Following which, she informed her husband and even questioned the accused after which she shut him in a room and informed the police.The girl was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital where she is undergoing treatment , As Reported By DNAIndia.

A case under Section 6 of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered.
