Carey Price to miss more games while he recovers from injury”

Carey Price last played in a game for the Montreal Canadiens Nov. 2, but it was what happened prior to puck drop that has kept the ailing All-Star netminder out since.

Price said the lower-body injury occurred in warm-ups against the Minnesota Wild on November 2.

"This time around, Price said he orginally expected his latest injury, which hasn't been specified, to keep him out ".in the two-week range". He allowed five goals on 26 shots in that game and was ruled out for the team's next game a day later.

He added that if the Canadiens were going into the playoffs he would "absolutely" play, but that at the moment, he does not feel the need to get on the ice.

Price nevertheless hinted that the injury is not serious, and that he will benefit from the extra time to heal which Charlie Lindgren's strong play has afforded him. The rookie goaltender is 3-1-0 with a 1.24 goals-against average and.964 save percentage in relief of Price and injured backup Al Montoya.

The Canadiens have one three games and lost once with Lindgren in nets.
