The Game Awards Nominees for 2017 Have Been Revealed

The Game Awards Nominees for 2017 Have Been Revealed”

The Game Awards will take place on December 7, and can be livestreamed worldwide. As you might expect the awards this year are pretty crowded, just like 2017's release schedule which has seen one highly rated game after another. This year, the event is looking to be the biggest yet, broadcasting in 4K Ultra HD format and available via live stream across more than 16 gaming and digital streaming platforms, including localized versions for Chinese, South Korean and Japanese audiences.

A few awards will be decided by fan vote, and fans can cast their votes using Facebook, Google, and Twitter to help decide the winners of Best Esports Player, Best Esports Team, and Most Anticipated Game.

There are some multiformat games on the list though; Destiny 2 manages to pick up six nominations and the recent Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus picks up four nominations including one for Best Game Direction.

Bungie's FPS RPG joins hugely popular singleplayer games The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Horizon: Zero Dawn as the only games to have received as many nominations.

While no official sponsors have been announced for the VGAs, we can only hope to receive something as good as the Schick Hydrobot in the 2017 event.
