Warriors pair Durant, Green out of Bulls clash

Warriors pair Durant, Green out of Bulls clash”

Golden State Warriors rookie forward Jordan Bell has no mixed feelings about his first time facing the Chicago Bulls, the team that sold the rights to their 38th overall draft pick to the reigning champions, who had no selections available in this year's draft.

He is one of the best players in the league when healthy, which he proved on the sport's biggest stage last season by winning the NBA Finals MVP.

With Kevin Durant (ankle) also not playing Friday, Golden State will be light on frontcourt depth, likely resulting in more minutes for Andre Iquodala, Omri Casspi and Patrick McCaw.

Durant played in Wednesday's 108-91 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder after he missed a 118-111 win against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.

Durant won't be the only Warriors star sidelined against the Bulls, as forward Draymond Green will get an off-day from head coach Steve Kerr.

Durant is still averaging 24.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists this season.

The Warriors have three games in four nights upon returning from their road trip. Friday's game will be the last game of the trip before they head back to Chicago to take on the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns early next week.
