Palestinian reportedly killed — Clashes near Qusra”

A Palestinian was seriously injured by Israeli forces during clashes near the village of Qusra, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local and medical sources. Hasan was transferred to the Rafidiya Governmental Hospital in Nablus city by crews from the Palestinian Red Crescent and was immediately sent into surgery.

Israeli settlers were seen hiking near Qusra on Monday morning even though the IDF had declared the area a closed military zone following an incident last week.

Clashes erupted between Occupation forces and villagers after settlers came to the village and provoked Palestinians in the area. Israeli soldiers fired tear-gas and live ammunition against locals.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement that around fifty Palestinians were acting violently, throwing stones and burning tires.

According to the IDF, following last week's incident, it was chose to declare the open areas near Qusra closed military zones, meaning that both settlers and Palestinians were supposed to be forbidden from entering them. A settler spokesperson contested the statement.

An upwards of some 600,000 Israeli settlers reside in occupied Palestinian territory in violation of global law. The attacks during this time period have led to the deaths of three Palestinians.
