Call of Duty: WWII Winter Siege Trailer Released

Prepare for a Frosty Fight in Call of Duty: WWII's first community event - Winter Siege.

The Winter Siege event kicks off on Friday, Dec. 8, and Sledgehammer Games is stuffing players' stockings with tons of in-game presents. Everything is snowy and will have your players freezing if they don't get warm, hence why supply drops will now feature new pieces of winter gear to customize your characters with.

It all begins with Winter Carentan, which has been reimagined again with a winter theme.

Players can expect "new winter-themed content, a free Winter Carentan multiplayer map, double XP playlists, and a festive new headquarters".

Bring new limited-time winter weapons into the heat of battle.

Winter Carentan, a festive version of the classic map Carentan, will be available for all players throughout this seasonal event. Players can hop into this fan-favorite mode during the second week of the event.

The Winter Siege event also winterizes Headquarters, with the beach encampment taking on a seasonally appropriate appearance for the span of the event, and welcoming an all-new Quartermaster, Captain Butcher. The Gewehr 43, Sten, GMPG, a pickax, and new knife are being added to the game, but won't be locked behind Supply Drops.

You can see the full details on the Winter Siege event here along with images of all the new weapon variants before the community event begins on December 8.

Winter Siege Supply Drops can be purchased with real-world money, or earned in-game by playing.

Sledgehammer Games will be celebrating the holidays by hosting the first Call of Duty: WWII community event. It will run from December 15 to 21 as part of the 2XP playlist and as part of the Winter Carentan moshpit playlist from December 29 to January 2.
