PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds: Desert Map Name & New Weapons Revealed”

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is obviously the most popular choice in the gaming world right now, so it makes sense that it's getting not one, but two mobile games in China.

Check out the map of Miramar below as well as some new screenshots.

"When we made a decision to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel", the development team said in an announcement.

We don't want to tell you too much as you will soon be able to experience it all yourself but we did write a few short descriptions of several of the key landmarks and towns.

In addition to the locations unveiled today, there should be plenty of other exciting places to visit in the map as well, but the developer is letting players discover the rest of the map for themselves to not take away the experience.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds: Desert Map Name & New Weapons Revealed

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will officially release in its "1.0" state later this month.

"As you may already know, we will never add anything that affects the gameplay", said lead game designer Changhan Kim in a Q&A at G-Star Global Game Exhibition in Korea, as per PC Gamer. Those tuning in from home can watch on a variety of free streams starting at 5:30 PT / 8:30 ET on Thursday, December 7.

"The location of the crates across each city will be announced via a dedicated Facebook event page for each location on the Xbox ANZ Facebook Page". This expansive desert map shows a significant shift from the previous rural design of Erangel, with a blend of sandy plains, towering rock formations, and urban settlements.

Interested players can purchase PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on Steam for $29.99.
