Starbucks is releasing a ' peppermint mocha creme' Christmas tree frappuccino

Starbucks is releasing a ' peppermint mocha creme' Christmas tree frappuccino”

Not only is it quite literally shaped and created to look like a Christmas tree, but it has a mix of flavors so curious and unprecedented in Starbucks drink lore that it's only natural that many people are wondering what the Starbucks Christmas Tree Frappuccino tastes like before taking the plunge.

The drink will be on the menu for only four days, ending Monday.

The sweet drinks are made to look like the real deal, and are even topped with green whipped cream and sugary ornaments to add a little Christmas cheer. Um, what is a Christmas tree Frappuccino exactly?

Starting today, December 7, Starbucks will be selling these festive drinks at participating Starbucks locations in the US and Canada.

The drink is made out of a Peppermint Mocha Crème Frappuccino that's topped with a tree made out of matcha whipped cream. Matcha is trendy, but it actually works pretty well as a mellow balance to the rich mocha Frappuccino. Then the "tree" is decorated with a "garland" of caramel drizzle, candied cranberry ornaments, all finished with a strawberry tree topper. While the add-ons are somewhat superfluous, the unfortunately necessary Instagram bait doesn't detract from the flavor of the drink.
