Vine Co-Founder Teases Vine 2

Vine Co-Founder Teases Vine 2”

It's co-founder, Dom Hofmann, has posted a mysterious tweet which simply reads "v2" and features a logo with the same mint green colour as Vine.

The news was met with much jubilation and happiness since Vine is probably one of the most loved and much missed apps out there.

Unlike Instagram, the stars that blossomed on Vine did so thanks to how amusing, entertaining or mind-boggling their efforts were. After shutting down in 2016 (likely in some part due to Instagram incorporating video into their platform), many were up in arms about the end of an app as popular as Vine.

So, if Vine 2 happens, will you welcome it?

Mr Hofman revealed that he was funding the project himself so that it "doesn't interfere with the quite exciting work" his company Interspace is committed to, which he said was his "first priority". That is, until Hoffman corrects us. It lived a short, glorious life until Twitter chose to kill it in 2016, and we all poured one out for the six-second format.
