Pity the poor parents who watched 'Bee Movie' every day in 2017”

"Bee Movie" follows the trials and tribulations of Barry the Bee (Jerry Seinfeld), who finds the prospect of working in a hive all his life uninspiring.

It seems the DreamWorks animation has developed something of a cult following, at least for one British fan.

In the past 12 months a Netflix user has watched the film 357 times, equivalent to nearly once a day.

In Netflix's 2017 "Year in Review", the online streaming platform revealed that one United Kingdom user watched the 2007 DreamWorks classic "Bee Movie" 357 times this year.

The return of "Stranger Things" gave Netflix its most popular streaming day in the United Kingdom this year.

"Bee Movie" didn't generate much buzz when it was released in 2007, but 10 years later, it's apparently resonating with someone out there.

The second series of the popular sci-fi drama launched on October 27th, becoming the most popular show to binge watch within the first 24 hours of release.

Other data released by the streaming service revealed that Greenleaf, a series about a family and their sprawling megachurch in Memphis, was the most "devoured" show in the United Kingdom in 2017 - meaning the programme had been watched for more than two hours per day.
