Antoine Griezmann's Fancy Dress Outfit Has Outraged Everyone

Antoine Griezmann's Fancy Dress Outfit Has Outraged Everyone”

Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann has misjudged his latest tweet by a mile.

Antoine Griezmann has found himself at the centre of a racism storm tonight after posting a picture of himself in a controversial fancy dress outfit.

The photo on his official Twitter account was accompanied by the message "80's Party" followed by basketball and laughing emojis.

The Frenchman was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer, before opting to remain at Atletico Madrid while they were under a transfer embargo.

Griezmann first responded to the criticism by posting: "Calm down friends, I am a fan of the Harlem Globetrotters and this attractive era... it's a tribute".

The responses were all negative with many of his followers urging the striker to remove the photo immediately and delete the post.

The tweet, which remains on Griezmann's Twitter feed at the time of writing, soon attracted plenty of tweets asking for it to be deleted. "I recognize that was clumsy on my part", he said. "If I hurt some people excuse me", Griezmann tweeted.
