WhatsApp Is Going To Stop Its Service On These Phones”

If you don't remember, WhatsApp had announced the end-of-life dates for the BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Windows Phone 8.0 and older platforms as June this year. We say so as WhatsApp will stop working on devices that run BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, and Windows Phone 8.0 and older platforms from December 31, 2017.

Earlier in the year, WhatsApp stopped the messenger service to Nokia Symbian S60-based mobiles in June and now, the company is all set to end its support for several other devices from next week.

With New Year's eve, WhatsApp will bid goodbye to two major mobile platforms.

If you are now working with BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10 and Windows Phone 8.0, you should quickly migrate to the latest smartphones loaded with either Android Marshmallow, Android Nougat or Android Oreo.

Meanwhile, Android OS version 2.3.7 and older will also stop functioning after February 1st, 2020. So, these users will not be able to enjoy the new features being rolled out to the platform in the recent times. But for some users, it might not be good news. Until then, the users are advised to upgrade their systems, Android, Windows 10 or an iPhone. After selecting the icon, a picture in picture mode will start in a new window.

The Private replies feature will allow a user to reply privately to a group message.

The main reason for pulling the plug is attributed to the fact that older smartphones won't provide features, capabilities and required processing power to work with all the features included with the latest versions.
