Chelsea and Manchester United receive boost in transfer pursuit of Alex Sandro

Chelsea and Manchester United receive boost in transfer pursuit of Alex Sandro”

Juventus appear to be preparing themselves for the potential departure of Chelsea and Manchester United target Alex Sandro.

Bayer Leverkusen defender Wendell has joined Juventus' shortlist of targets as they look to line up a replacement for Chelsea and Manchester United target Alex Sandro, it has been claimed.

They are more likely to wait until the summer, especially as Leonardo Spinazzola is a ready-made replacement whose loan deal with Atalanta expires in June.

But the 26-year-old could be on the move sooner than expected if Juventus receive acceptable bids in January. The Portuguese coach has used a number of players in the left-back position including winger Ashley Young and right-back Matteo Darmian but is now keen on signing a specialist left-sided defender.

And, as per growing reports in the English media this evening, Chelsea are ready to once again prioritise Sandro's arrival above all other transfer business this month, with an offer of £50 million having been touted on the part of the Premier League champions.

It may not quite be on the level of the world record (for a defender) £75 million transfer of Virgil van Dijk to Anfield, but according to Italian newspaper is rather dubious reliability Tuttosport, Juventus have slapped a €60 million price tag on left wing-back Alex Sandro.
