49ers Reuben Foster arrested in Alabama”

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster has been arrested for marijuana possession in Alabama, the USA Today reported on Friday. FanRag Sports confirmed the arrest by a database search.

The former Crimson Tide linebacker has had prior issues, falling in the draft for various reasons.

Foster was the second of two first-round picks (No. 31 overall) by the 49ers in last year's draft and started 10 games while registering 72 combined tackles and a pass defensed. He was named the Defensive Rookie of the Month for November. The former Alabama product played in 10 games past year with San Francisco, still finishing second on the team with 59 tackles.

Last March, Foster was dismissed from the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine after an altercation with medical staff. He blew up at medical personnel at the National Football League combine and his urine sample came back dilute, which is an automatic positive test. He suffered an ankle injury during Week 1, which forced him to miss the next five games. No member of the San Francisco defense had more tackles for loss than Foster, who finished the year with seven.
