Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey in contention for Arsenal's clash with Bournemouth

Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey in contention for Arsenal's clash with Bournemouth”

Arsenal make the trip down to the South Coast this weekend as they face a struggling AFC Bournemouth side at the Vitality Stadium in a vital encounter in the Premier League.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Wenger said: 'From Wednesday night, Jack was injured but we had good news.

Arsenal fans were left anxious after midfielder, Jack Wilshere limped off the pitch at Stamford Bridge last night.

Jack Wilshere suffered an ankle injury vs Conte's men and he should be replaced by Mohamed Elneny in the midfield.

"We had very good news yesterday morning".

The Cherries are only one point above the drop zone but they are unbeaten in their last four matches and they could welcome back Joshua King and Junior Stanislas for Sunday's game.

Ramsey last played in Arsenal's league draw with Southampton on December 10. But he has recovered and could also play a part on Sunday.

Wales' Aaron Ramsey is back in the squad but Nacho Monreal, Laurent Koscielny, Olivier Giroud all remain on the sidelines.

Asked about Ozil's injury, Wenger added: 'It's his knee.

'We have an uncertainty about Ozil, he will have a test tomorrow, that at the moment is a big 50/50 for Bournemouth'. He had a swollen knee and a recurrence of what he had two or three weeks ago.

Few expected the midfielder to miss the next few weeks after seeing him limp off the field on Wednesday night but it seems that that will not be the case.
