Megyn Kelly Wanted To Be Fat-Shamed During Law School

Megyn Kelly Wanted To Be Fat-Shamed During Law School”

On Thursday, "Some of us want to be shamed!".

Speaking to "fit mom" and "No Excuses" campaign founder Maria Kang, she shared on yesterday's episode of Today about how years ago she would ask her stepfather to fat shame her!

"I said something yesterday on the demonstrate that unmistakably struck a nerve", she disclosed to her gathering of people, "and I believe it's a discussion we need".

The two were chatting about accountability coaches, or the people who tell you to work out when you aren't feeling up to it. Kelly suggested that Kang should look into this career field, and to make shaming folks a part of Kang's business model. "We were discussing body shaming others, something I absolutely do not support", she said. I said to my stepfather, If you see going into that kitchen one more time, you say, "Where you going, fat ass?"

As for Kelly's anecdote about her dad shaming her into not eating, Elman finds it to be "particularly dangerous" and "verbally abusive" because he was treating eating as privilege when it's an "essential requirement for survival". "In fact, quite the opposite", Kelly said.

Kelly revealed that her her family has struggled with obesity and shared that has sister gained over 300 pounds, which led to her wanting to having gastric bypass surgery.

One day when I was about six years old, I came home in tears - our neighbor had called my mom fat. "And so unhappy. I was scared of gaining weight because of the insane standard this country holds its women to and because I was and remain afraid of dying in my 40s".

Leaving the clasp, she stated, "The strain to be thin is omnipresent in America and the individuals who are not can confront tragic mercilessness". Trust me, there are real life ramifications for fat shamming of any kind, it is NEVER acceptable.

"Soon there were diet pills and obsessive exercise and I had reduced my calorie intake to 500 calories a day", Kelly said.

"What I know for sure is that weight is an issue for millions of people, thin and heavy alike". She explained that one time, Imus brought a personal trainer with him on air to say that Dean needed to work on "her hips and her butt". "What's more, neither should be judged or disgraced for how they handle that battle".
