Keep us in your Facebook news feed”

Facebook announced recently it will be changing what you see in your news feed to put a priority on posts from friends and family.

If you're anything like us, you like a balance of both from Facebook: posts from the people you love and posts from the businesses, brands and media you've chosen to follow. Here, click "prioritize who to see first" and select any and all of the publications, pages, and even friends you'd like to stay up-to-date on. In the menu that appears, click on "News Feed Preferences".

Moreover, to help people access local news and information, Facebook pages will display that in a special, dedicated section.

Open up the Facebook app. Tap the three lines in the bottom right; scroll to "settings".

Finally you can select or "star" profiles that you want to prioritize on your news feed (like ARLnow) by scrolling through or searching profiles you already follow. A box will appear with more options - click on "Prioritize who to see first".

Social media giant Facebook's latest answer to stem the flow of fake news is to send a two-question survey to randomly selected users. A menu will pop up - touch "News Feed Preferences".

From the list select the pages you are most interested in seeing.

If you see the word "Liked", roll your cursor over it and then choose "See First" and if you want to control how you're notified when KAMR posts something new, click the small pencil icon next to the word "Notification".
