Rick Pitino reportedly linked to Georgia job

Rick Pitino reportedly linked to Georgia job”

The former Louisville coach is a serious candidate for the opening at Georgia in the wake of the Bulldogs parting ways with Mark Fox, according to ESPN analyst Jay Williams.

Pitino was sacked by Louisville as a result of the FBI's investigation into college basketball in September.

Rick Pitino still wants to continue coaching, and he may be eyeing the job that just opened up in the SEC.

But Pitino is also still bitter about his firing, and he told ESPN on Friday that he's specifically angry with the school's "board of traitors". "I'm not bitter at the school, but at the Board of Traitors".

Pitino also told Goodman he's hired an agent and had an "informal discussion" with a representative from an National Basketball Association team about a potential opening. The former head coach has hired agent Jordan Bazant and is ready to not leave the game in a bitter mode.

Pitino had a successful time on the court at Louisville but he was accused of scandals that he could not get rid of.

Pitino was sacked by Louisville in the offseason for his alleged role in the adidas pay-for-play scandal. Within a month, Pitino was sacked. "That being said, I love teaching basketball and am more passionate than ever".

"I've never offered any player five dollars", he added. His program employed an assistant coach that held parties for players and recruits that involved hookers and strippers that were paid for by the coach.

Pitino was stripped of 123 wins from 2011-15 due to NCAA rules violations at Louisville, including the 2013 national championship. Pitino admitted to having sex with her in a Louisville restaurant.
