Rapper Kendrick Lamar wins Pulitzer music prize for 'DAMN.'”

Kendrick Lamar has been awarded the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Music. As far as we can tell, Kendrick is the first Hip-Hop artist ever win a Pulitzer in the music genre.

The 2017 Pulitzer Prize for music went to "Angel's Bone", an opera by composer Du Yun.

Many were (rightfully) shocked when Lamar's universally acclaimed "DAMN." was bested for the 2018 Grammy for album of the year by Bruno Mars' incredibly popular, and equally mediocre, "24 Magic".

Coachella was already going to be a pretty star-studded affair, with Beyonce, The Weeknd and Eminem headlining the festival.

Reuters won a Pulitzer Prize for global reporting that revealed links between Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and police assassination squads, and also won a prize for feature photography of the Rohingya migrant crisis, the prize administrator said on Monday.

And that's not all, as he quickly hopped over to SZA's act for a surprise duet of All The Stars. He'll just have to put that Pulitzer where that Grammy should've gone.
